SOLIDARITY WITH THE CROW CREEK ENCAMPMENT
01/01/10
The theft of Native land in North America has been justified by bureaucratic fine print for far too long. Unrelenting coercion through both government agencies and the private sector have now put the Dakota Crow Creek in a position in which they must choose between what is ostensibly legal and what is innately just–vacate for big business or remain and resist. The US has used criminalization and imprisonment to attack indigenous movements since the initial colonization of this land. We must all come to recognize that the displacement and genocide of Native people and the dismantling of their land-base by the US government and its collaborators is the true crime. Today we call for active solidarity with those rightfully defending against further degradation and dispossession at Crow Creek. Donate funds, supplies, and support in whatever way to stop the land grab at Crow Creek and the ongoing occupation of Native land in North America. Solidarity now.
